What you'll do
The closest sandbank to town, and the easiest boat day we run. Twenty minutes out, a long lazy stretch of white sand that appears at low tide, snorkelling off the edge of it, and lunch grilled on the beach while you are in the water.
- Twenty minutes from town — the shortest crossing on the island
- Sand that only exists for a few hours a day
- Shallow, calm water that suits children
- Grilled seafood and fruit on the sandbank itself

Good to know before you book
- There is no natural shade at all — we bring an awning, but bring a hat too.
- The water is shallow and calm, which makes this the boat day we suggest for young children.
- Nothing is left behind on the sand. What we carry out, we carry back.
- If the tide is wrong for the day you want, we will tell you and suggest another.
Questions people ask
- Is this the same as Safari Blue?
- No. Safari Blue is a full day out of Fumba with sailing, reef snorkelling and a lagoon. This is a short, easy half day on the nearest sandbank to town, at $30 less.
What guests said
Only guests who actually travelled with us can leave a review
Shallow, calm and short — perfect with a four-year-old, where Safari Blue would have been too much.

Lovely half day. There genuinely is no shade, so the awning matters more than you would think.
